The Liturgical Choir is the primary Choir of the University of Notre Dame's Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Its repertoire is drawn on the diverse traditions of a cappella and accompanied sacred music from the Renaissance through the twentieth century. The Choir, sponsored by Campus Ministry, provides musical leadership for the Basilica's 10 am Sunday Mass as well as a variety of other Basilica and University liturgies such as Sunday Vespers, weddings, building dedications, ordinations, Advent Lessons & Carols and special University liturgies such as Junior Parents' Weekend and the Baccalaureate Mass. Holy Week is especially important to the Choir, who sings for Palm Sunday, Tenebrae, the Good Friday Celebration of the Lord's Passion, the Easter Vigil, Easter Mass, and Easter Vespers.

"It's hard to believe that I am entering my eighth year as director of the incredible Notre Dame Liturgical Choir. I strive to continue to build upon the foundations of my teacher and friend Dr. Gail Walton and pray often that she is pleased with my efforts. The Liturgical Choir just keeps getting better and better, not because of anything I am doing but because the Choir is gifted with incredible young Notre Dame women and men. The current student leadership is responsible for this fantastic new website and for that I am so grateful."
